Position will provide clear and accurate information (written and verbal) concerning complex state tax laws to New Mexico taxpayers and external entities. Under general direction, manage the financial accounting function in accordance with HUD reporting requirements and procedures. Manage the financial accounting personnel and Management Information Systems for the Bernalillo County Housing Department which requires hands-on involvement in the daily operations. General areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to: financial controls, cash flow/management, general ledger, HUD financial reporting, budget, audit, payroll, rent collections, purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Manage and supervise staff.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field plus five (5) years accounting related experience with two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
