Jim is an internationally recognized and highly regarded speaker is the Director of Tax Practice at Reynolds, Hix & Co., P.A., in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a CPA in New Mexico and past Chair of the New Mexico Society of CPAs and has over 30 years experience in tax practice. He specializes in tax issues facing closely held businesses and their owners, and has extensive experience in partnership taxation, corporate taxation, and tax aspects of purchase and sale of businesses, real estate taxation, and estate planning. Jim is the author of numerous continuing education courses for CPAs, more than 95 articles in professional tax journals and he writes a weekly column on tax issues for the Albuquerque Journal. He has structured and taught tax training programs for most of the international CPA firms as well as many other organizations throughout the country. Jim previously oversaw graduate tax programs at the University of Oklahoma and the University of New Mexico, where he also served as Accounting Department Chair.
