Your Society website recently went through some changes and upgrades. We continue striving to make it more user friendly, easy information access and more secure. Here are a few pointers on what you will find new.
Member Login
All members logging in for the first time on the NMSCPA website will need to get a new password. You will be prompted for your email address and then click on the 'Reset my password' button. Instructions to activate your new password will be sent directly to you. Your email address is now your user name. Be sure to use the email address that is in your member profile on the NMSCPA's Membership database.
These are the 5 basic steps for your first time member login:- Click the ”Log In or Create Account” link at the top of the web page.
- Click the “Reset your password” link and type in your email address. . If you are a member be sure you do not click on the “Create an account for yourself” link.
- Open the activation email sent to your email In Box.
- Click on the URL link in the activation email.
- Type in the password you would like to use for logins.

The new CPA Referral Search service is more user-friendly than the previous version so sign up to receive referrals today. If you were registered in the former online CPA Referral program you must register for referrals in this new program. The referral program is for full Society members, CPAs, who carry liability insurance.
To list yourself in the Referral Search login and then go to My Directory Profile on the Members web page. On your profile page click the checkbox next to “Show in public directory” and scroll to the Keywords text box at the bottom of your profile.
In the large white Keywords box, type the services you wish to perform, e.g. audits, taxes, non-profits, fraud, bookkeeping, small business services, etc. Those looking for a CPA on the Referral Search web page will type in the service they need and the contact information for the CPAs who have listed that service will appear.CPE
If you have ever used an online shopping cart to make purchases you will find the new CPE cart a breeze. Members who are logged in while purchasing CPE classes will be able to see their discounted cost before registering for a class. Checkout will also go faster if you are already logged in.
Class registration and purchase can be made without being logged in. At the time of Checkout you will be prompted to login with your email address and password. Once logged in you will see your discounts
Non-members will be prompted to create an online 'shoppers' account at time of purchase. It is a simple, quick and one time process. After creating your online non-member account you will be able to login anytime before registering for a CPE.
If you are a member be careful not to inadvertently setup a non-member account while trying to register for CPE. Make sure your NMSCPA member account is activated and only use that password and email address.Website Navigation
If you are familiar with the layout of the Society's previous website much of the content is still the same. You can now find all the important web pages directly through the flyout menus in the navigation bar below the top banner. The Home page link is now in the top right corner of every web page.
Anyone can see the Members home page and what the Society has to offer members online. Only Society Members who are logged in can use any of the links on the Members home page. Type a first or last name to find another member in the Member Directory. Typing the first few letters will bring up a list of all members whose first or last name contain the letters. Members can update their online profile using the My Directory Profile link.
Click on the Join navigation button to quickly find the information you need to become a member of the NMSCPA today!Much of the information that was spread throughout our previous website is now located in the Resources section. Here you can the find all the information you need about the Society, Licensing & Regulations, Taxes, Fraud Protection, finding or contacting us, a Links page and much more.
The Student Lounge continues to be your one-stop resource page for students in accounting studies. The Classifieds list all the Society ads, jobs and resume postings in one place. Find all the information you need for peer review requirements and to see who is doing reviews in the Peer Review section.
