Through the New Mexico Society of CPAs Mentorship Program, mentees are supported and guided as they make the transition from academic studies into professional careers. The Mentor Program provides an invaluable opportunity for students to learn about the profession from the inside and to begin to build a network of professional contacts.
In our unique one-on-one program, experienced and successful CPAs and Financial Professionals share their time and expertise with students interested in learning more about what it means and takes to be an accountant and about the career opportunities that exist in accounting.
Goals of the Mentorship Program include: the building of mutually beneficial relationships, the education of the participants on the various aspects of the accounting profession and providing the access to a network of professional guidance. The BAP Mentorship program is rewarding for both mentors and students. Each can benefit by practicing leadership and communication skills, identifying and achieving goals and ensuring professional growth.
