Mentorship: How to Escape the Gravity of an “I” World so WE Can Fly
Speaker: Angie VanArsdale
Rugged independence. Self-reliance. The “I” in individualism is as American and Western as Apple Pie and Cowboy Coffee, but do these “ideals” utilize our natural feminine strengths and advance our careers as promised? Are we stronger for doing it all on our own? Discover how to leverage the transformational power of mentorship to accelerate your career, enhance your life experiences and enflame your personal passions.

Hear from a panel of inspiring women as they detail their experiences in a male-dominated profession. Learn their strategy for overcoming obstacles and gender stereotypes and gain knowledge on the legal aspects of workplace equality (i.e., when it’s time to turn to HR, what your legal rights as a female include, harassment in the workplace, and so much more!). You’ll be sure to walk away from this panel armed with more than a few “dirty little secrets”.

Book Brief—Essentialism
Speaker: Keri Stewart
Essentialism is about two ways of thinking that are as different as black and white. The author calls out behaviors between non-essentialist and essentialists like this: Non-Essentialists think through the undisciplined pursuit of more, but they actually lead a life that is not satisfying and don't know why. Essentialists think about a disciplined pursuit of less, and they live a life that really matters. By the end of this seminar, you will understand the principles of the book as well as develop your own action plan.
