The New Mexico Society of CPAs is an association uniting professionals who provide their time, talents and resources towards strengthening and enhancing the CPA profession in New Mexico.

	Application for 2012 NMSCPA Scholarships Applications for the 2012 NMSCPA scholarships will be accepted until June 1, 2012, and spring semester classes apply to the requirements. Documents are interactive and can be submitted online. They are also available in PDF format to be downloaded, completed and mailed to the Society. Students should 1) provide the Society website URL (www.nmscpa.org) to professors and others supplying references, and 2) check with the Society in late May to see that all parts of the application have been received.

	Feed the Pig for “Tweens” The popular Financial Literacy program, Feed the Pig has launched a new segment aimed at helping the “tweens” – 4th through 6th graders.  The site offers a teacher's kit and a “tweens” game, The Great Piglet Challenge.
	Financial Literacy Financial illiteracy is a huge problem in the U.S. Americans spend $1.22 for every $1.00 earned. In response, the AICPA, with the support of the state CPA societies, developed the award-winning 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy program.
