NMSCPA Outstanding Member Award Program
The NMSCPA Outstanding Member Award Program, was designed to recognize individuals who have made a significant impact to the CPA profession, displays a passion for the overall success of the profession and is viewed as an exceptional leader in the CPA community.

The Awards are presented at the Annual Pride in the Profession Luncheon in November.
Rising Star Award
Recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of an up-and-coming CPA who adds value to one’s organization through strategic and innovative initiatives, exhibits leadership competencies and possesses a commitment to the profession. The nominee must be an NMSCPA member.
Impact Award
Recognizes CPAs who have made an outstanding impact within an organization, the CPA profession or within their communities. Candidates for this award must be nominated by an NMSCPA Member.
Accounting Teaching Excellence Award
Recognizes individuals who excel in educating. The nominees for this category is not limited to University or Community College educators but includes CPE instructors and high school accounting teachers. The stellar individuals who receive this award not only emphasize the importance of accounting education to the profession, but the role educators play in supporting CPAs. Candidates for this award can be nominated by an NMSCPA Member or NMSCPA staff.
Student Champion of the Year
Recognizes a student’s contributions, involvements, and achievements through the NMSCPA. Honorees use their passion for the accounting profession to educate other students on the benefits of the CPA credential, recruit students as new NMSCPA members, and assist with career fairs and presentations. Candidates for this award can be nominated by an NMSCPA Member or NMSCPA staff.
CPA Intern of the Year Award
The CPA Intern of the Year Award is designed to honor an outstanding accounting student who has participated in an accounting/CPA internship and made a significant contribution to their employer. NMSCPA members are encouraged to nominate exceptional interns who have gone above and beyond in their role as intern.
Lifetime Achievement
A CPA who has been a NMSCPA member for a substantial period of time. This award is given to someone who is considered to be at a culminating point in their career and has made substantial contributions to their community, firm, and profession. Candidates for this award must be nominated by an NMSCPA Member
