Volunteers for Tax Season

AARP FOUNDATION TAX-AIDE needs volunteers in Albuquerque and other New Mexico areas to help prepare taxes for low and moderate income taxpayers this upcoming tax season. Volunteers are asked to work one day per week from February through mid-April at nearby senior, community, or multigenerational centers, libraries, or other sites. Tax training will be provided for those who need to certify through the IRS. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide will issue 14 CE credits (with certification) or 18 CE credits (with certification plus one specialty) for those who volunteer with us during tax season. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is an all-volunteer nonprofit free tax preparation service supported by grants from the IRS and the AARP Foundation. In 2019, we served more than 33,000 taxpayers in New Mexico.
